To Update a Change Request

Users can alter the field detail contained in or the relationship information linked to an existing change request. Changes made to a particular change request will display in all objects where a relationship to this change request has been established.

Note: Updates to change request data can only be done when the status of the change request is one of the following: Draft, Proposed, or Expedited.
Note: To make changes to a change request instance, either no security is defined or the user has Modify rights based on individual or group allocated access in the Security topic.
  1. Select the change request that is to be updated in the Content pane.
  2. Make the required changes (i.e. selecting alternate selections from drop-down menus, typing new text detail in the attribute field boxes, etc.).
  3. If certain status values are chosen, additional mandatory fields may be added to define who, when, and the reason for the status change. For example, canceling a change request will prompt for Date Cancelled, Cancelled By and, Reason Cancelled.
  4. Click the Save icon in the toolbar.

    The information altered information displays when the change request details are reviewed or when relationship information is expanded.
